When the clinic is closed we provide a triage nurse to give directions for urgent problems. All general, non urgent
health care questions should be deferred to the next business
day when your own healthcare provider is available to better
assist you.

Directions
We are located in Cathlamet, a town in southwest Washington State.
From Interstate 5, take the WA-4 West Exit 39 to Kelso/Longview.
Go west on Allen St about 1 mile. Continue on W Main Street for
0.3 miles. Turn left on W Cowlitz Way, go 0.1 miles and turn
right on Ocean Beach Hwy (SR 4). Continue on SR4 about 35 miles.
The office is located 1 block off SR4 on Una Avenue, several blocks west of Main Street.
We are a full spectrum rural health clinic with a board certified family physician and a board certified family nurse practitioner.
Clinic Services
We offer primary care for the entire family - from newborns to
seniors. Preventive care (adult and child physicals), management
of chronic medical problems, gynecology, and urgent medical care is available. Physicals
are offered for DOT (truck drivers), Coast Guard,
and other places of employment. Minor office procedures such
as skin lesion removals and fracture care are also done. We have limited X-ray and lab facilities
on site.
Prescription Refills
Please call the pharmacy listed on your prescription
medication at least three days before you run out. This helps
ensure the accuracy of your prescription refills. Please do not
call the office for refills of your medication
Messages to Clinicians
If you have a question or need to leave a message for your healthcare
provider, be patient and leave a phone number and time when you may be reached. Clinicians return calls between patietns or after clinic hours.
Referrals
If your healthcare provider refers you to another doctor, please
allow 5 days for the referral to be completed. If it is an urgent
referral, it will be done the same day or next day. Work injuries
and motor vehicle accident authorizations may take longer depending
on the response time from your claims manager.
Insurance/Billing
Wahkiakum Family Practice Clinic accepts most insurances and participates
with Medicare and Medicaid as a Rural Health Clinic. We will
be happy to bill your insurance for you. Please be sure to bring
your current insurance card with you when you have an appointment.
To keep costs down and to comply with the law, deductibles and
co-pays are due at the time of service. If you have any questions
about your bill, you may call the office and as for the Billing
Department.

Dr. Janice McClean
Dr. McClean was born and raised in Seattle, WA. She received her medical degree from Creighton University and completed her family practice residency at the University of Washington Medical Center. She is board certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians and was named one of the "Top Doctors for Women" by Seattle Magazine in September of 2003.
Margie M. Godfrey ARNP
Ms. Godfrey was born in Canon City, CO and received her nursing
education at Pikes Peak Community College and the University
of North Dakota School of Medicine. She has been practicing in
NW Oregon and SW Washington since 1982, and in Cathlamet since
2000. She is a certified as a Family nurse Practitioner, and
licensed in Washington as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.
