Free Training

The Wahkiakum County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Emergency Management is periodically offering a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) course. 

Training includes the following:

  • CERT Organization
  • Course Review and Final evaluation
  • Disaster Medical Part 1
  • Disaster Medical Pt 2
  • Disaster Preparedness
  • Disaster Psychology
  • Fire Safety & Utility Controls
  • Light Search & Rescue
  • Terrorism and CERT

Registration

Pre-registration is required and is limited to 25 participants. The CERT program is an all-risk, all-hazard training. This valuable course is designed to help you protect yourself, your family, your neighbors, and your neighborhood in an emergency situation.

CERT members receive 20 hours of initial training provided free of charge. The course is taught with classroom instruction and practical exercises. Participants under the age of 18 must have parent/guardian permission to attend.
